Patrick J. Summers, M.S.
Mr. Summers recently completed eight years as Chief Financial Officer and Controller for AIMS Worldwide, Inc., a five-subsidiary publicly-traded marketing and media corporation where he was responsible for design and execution of all financial and accounting functions, including timely, accurate reporting to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Internal Revenue Service.
He has also been Controller and Business Manager for several nonprofit organizations as both employee and volunteer. In addition, he was C.F.O. and Controller for News USA, Inc., a national public relations/publicity firm where he began as Production Manager and subsequently designed and implemented operations systems for the company’s growing product line. As a member of the executive management team, he originated the C.F.O./Controller position and later became Executive Vice President.
As a consultant Mr. Summers has had a wide variety of experiences including contract accountant/controller work, individual tax preparation, and nonprofit audit.
A member of the Institute of Management Accountants and the National Society of Accountants, Mr. Summers holds a Master of Science degree in Management from Louisiana State University and earned graduate credit from The University of Virginia and Tulane University in New Orleans. Active in many collegiate organizations, he was Local Committee President of the International Association of Students in Economics and Business Management and a member of the campus honorary fraternities of Omicron Delta Kappa and Mortar Board.
John J. Wall, C.P.A
Mr. Wall is a Certified Public Accountant in public practice for over 25 years. Prior to working with S&A he was a partner at Martin & Wall, PC in Washington, DC for twelve years.
Mr. Wall received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Western New England College in 1988 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1991. Although our offices are in the DC and New Orleans metro areas, he works with clients throughout the United States and often makes regularly scheduled visits to the Chicago area. He has worked with individuals, small businesses, non-profits, homeowners’ associations and other business entities. Many of the individuals have complex tax issues such as real estate investment property, ownership in one or more businesses, multi-state tax filings, and complex tax filing statuses such as those individuals affected by the recent Supreme Court DOMA ruling.
Linda A. Pfister, M.B.A. – Master Tax Specialist
Ms. Pfister brings extensive quantitative expertise, including investment portfolio optimization and manager selection for Dorsey & Company as well as logistics operations and inventory management for Coca-Cola Enterprises. She began her career in small business consulting, focusing mainly on troubled companies.
As an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service and a master tax advisor to individuals, she has taught comprehensive tax preparation and upper-level tax courses for H&R Block and statistics and other business courses at Delgado Community College. In addition, she worked as a graduate teaching assistant for Investment Management at The University of Texas at Austin. As an Investment Analyst at Dorsey & Company, she presented client seminars on topics such as Modern Portfolio Theory and Mutual Fund Investing.
Ms. Pfister holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with concentrations in Finance and Economics from Tulane University. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin, with concentrations in Investment Finance and Accounting. She also completed coursework and comprehensive exams toward a Doctor of Philosophy degree at the University of New Orleans.
